Twin County United Way’s Community Grant Application Opens
February 1 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Twin County United Way fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in Nez Perce and Asotin counties. We continue to do this by partnering with other nonprofit organizations with the goal of making a change in our community.
Starting in 2022, Twin County United Way has made a change in its community investment strategy with the long-term goal of implementing a Cradle-to-Career model to provide children with health, income and educational benefits from birth to their career. With this, the key areas of focus in both counties are to increase the percentage of students reading at grade level by 3rd grade (education), reduce homeless and help programs that improve the financial stability of struggling households (income), and increase access to mental health/quality health care for the uninsured/under insured and help programs focusing on reducing the death by suicide rate.
Grant requests that address those specific areas will receive greater consideration for grants. TCUW will consider grant requests of up to $50,000. The application process begins on February 1, 2025 and will conclude on March 1, 2025. The TCUW board of directors, along with the possibility of community volunteers, will review and score the grant applications. If needed, applicants may be contact to make in-person presentations during early April. After TCUW’s fiscal year ends July 1 and it is determined how much grant funding is available, final decisions on the funding will be made and announced around August 1.
Grant eligibility
TCUW will only fund qualified 501(c)(3) or other non-profit organizations.
The funding request must be used strictly in Nez Perce and Asotin counties.
Funding must be related to education, health or financial stability with preference described above.
