Twin County United Way has another record breaking event
May 8, 2014-Thursday: Friday May 9th, Twin County United Way will host its annual Day of Caring. This continues to grow with each passing year. With the help of the event sponsor Regence BlueSheild of Idaho, tomorrow’s event will have over 250 volunteers and make a large impact on local area non-profits.
Projects include tasks such as delivering meals for Valley Meals on Wheels, packaging food for Idaho Food Bank, painting ramps and yard work for Interlink Volunteers, painting and maintenance at YWCA, painting at the Boys and Girls Club, beautification projects at the Jackson Baldwin Falls, Northwest ChildrenÂ’s Home, Lewis-Clark Early Childhood Program, Family Promise, Asotin County Aquatic Center, Twin County United Way, Kiwanis Park, Modie Park Conservancy, Salvation Army and much more.
Many local businesses are showing their philanthropic pride by donating time of employees. Those businesses include Regency BlueShield of Idaho, ATK CCI-Speer, Clearwater Power Company, Clearwater Paper Corporation, Potlatch No. 1 Federal Credit Union, Inland Cellular, Ida-Vend Broadcasting, US Bank, Avista, Northwest Farm Credit, Public Consulting Group, Idaho State Health & Welfare, Nez Perce County, Clearwater River Casino and Twin County United WayÂ’s WomenÂ’s Leadership Council.
