LEWISTON, Idaho – Twin County United Way of the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley has received a $3,900 grant from the Dutch Bros Foundation to assist the organization with local relief efforts associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grant is part of a $1 million commitment made by Dutch Bros Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dutch Bros Coffee, to organizations in seven western states where its coffee shops are located. According to Dutch Bros Foundation officials, partnering with local United Ways allows the grants to make an immediate impact in areas hit the hardest by the pandemic.

The Twin County United Way  board of directors will decide in the next week how to use the money and make the biggest impact through its safety net fund, which addresses health, income and education issues in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley.

As part of the grant, TCUW is expected to invest the grant in an expedient manner and report back to the Dutch Bros. Foundation on how the money was used.
