Twin County United Way and Lewiston High School partner to support student volunteerism

Twin County United Way Student Day of Caring 2017
Who:
More than 250 Lewiston High School Seniors have signed up to volunteer during Twin County United Way’s Student Day of Caring.
Day of Caring is sponsored by McDonald’s, Lewis Clark Credit Union, Dutch Bros Lewiston, Village Center Cinemas, LC Crew, Lewis Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce and ArtBeat.
Why:
Day of Caring connects students with a two-hour volunteer experience that benefits local nonprofits and the community. The event promotes volunteerism to inspire students to continue to volunteer throughout the year – and into the future.
When:
First day of school, Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017
9 a.m.: Students gather at LHS in the Senior parking lot
9:30 to 11:30 a.m.: Bus to onsite service locations for two-hour volunteer projects
Noon: Students return to Lewiston High School for lunch
Where:
The event begins at Lewiston High School (1114 9th Ave., Lewiston) in the Senior parking lot and busses will take students to 18 different volunteer project locations.
