QBH Summer Youth Program Fundraising Golf Tournament
June 8 @ 1:00 pm
The Summer Youth Program is a FREE program to middle school youth each Wednesday throughout the summer. The program was initiated following a 2008 community needs assessment. The assessment revealed the need for summer activities for middle school aged youth in our community. The program is open to youth who are entering grades 7-9 and who live in Asotin, Garfield, and Nez Perce counties. High school volunteers act as youth leaders and mentors to the youth. It is important to note that the majority of the youth who attend this program fall under a vulnerable population, including unhoused, suffering from mental health issues, neurodiverse, etc. The Summer Youth Program pairs prevention education with fun activities. Subjects covered during the 9-week program will include bullying, drinking and other drugs, healthy relationships, technology safety, suicide prevention, etc. Proceeds from the golf tournament will help support this program so we can continue to offer this valuable program to youth in our community. 4 person scramble. $400 per team. Shotgun start at 1pm on June 8.
