Twin County United Way and Lewiston High School partner to support student volunteerism
What:

Twin County United Way LHS Student Day of Caring 2016

Who:

More than 260 Lewiston High School Seniors have signed up to volunteer during Twin County United WayÂ’s Student Day of Caring.

Day of Caring is sponsored by Express Employment Professionals, Peak Performance Physical Therapy, Dutch Bros Lewiston and ArtBeat.

Why:

Day of Caring connects students with a two-hour volunteer experience that benefits local nonprofits and the entire community.  The event promotes volunteerism to inspire students to continue to volunteer throughout the year – and into the future.

When:

First day of school, Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016

9 a.m.: Students gather at Vollmer Bowl to load busses

9:30 to 11:30 a.m.: Onsite volunteer service

11:50: Students return to Lewiston High School for lunch

Where:

The event begins at Vollmer Bowl across from Lewiston High School (1114 9th Ave., Lewiston) and busses will take students to more than 20 different volunteer project locations.

Featured project location:

Twin County United Way office (2207 E. Main Street, Lewiston) where students will be doing a number of projects inside and outside, including painting the exterior of the building.
