Resilience Documentary and Discussion

October 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

FREE

“Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope” is a documentary about how childhood trauma effects our bodies and brains across a lifetime. Public health officials say that ACEs or Adverse Childhood Experiences is the most overlooked public health crisis of this generation.

Studies show that toxic childhood trauma, including things such verbal, physical, and sexual abuse, neglect, and parentmental illness, as well as other traumas, greatly increase the risk of everything from substance abuse disorder to heart disease and diabetes.

Join us at Clarkston High School in the auditorium for a showing of the documentary “Resilience” followed by a panel discussion about the impacts of ACEs locally and what can be done about it.
